An Invitation to Bid is being advertised in the MP Times and Sky Hi Daily News on November 12 and 13. The announcement gives information about bidding for the Hot Sulphur Springs Solar Reservoir Circulator. Bids are due at the Hot Sulphur Springs Town Hall on November 23, 2009 at 11 a.m.
Beginning November 13, project specifications may be obtained for $25 at the Hot Sulphur Springs Town Hall and at the Merrick and Company offices in Aurora.

Contractor Bids Received
On September 3, six bids were received from general contractors. The engineer's opinion of probable cost was $2.6 million. The contractor bids were as follows:

Contractor Bid Opening - September 3, 2009
The Town Board of Hot Sulphur Springs was extremely pleased to have six general contractors submit bids for this water project. The bids ranged from $1,996,000 to $2,694,920. Garney Construction from Littleton, Colorado was the apparent low bidder. Pending review of all contractor submittals, the Town Trustees are scheduled to approve a contract award on Thursday, September 10.

An Invitation to Bid is being advertised in the MP Times and Sky Hi Daily News on August 6, 7, 13 and 14. The announcement gives information about the bid process and encourages local contractors and subcontractors to form teams to successfully bid for the project and to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 18 at the Hot Sulphur Springs Town Hall at 10 a.m.
Beginning August 12, project plans and specifications may be reviewed or purchased for $100 at the Hot Sulphur Springs Town Hall and at the Merrick and Company offices in Aurora.

Mandatory Pre-bid Site Visit on August 18 at 10 a.m.
Attention Contractors and Subcontractors!
A formal Contractor Bid Advertisement will be published in the MP Times on August 6 for the ARRA Hot Sulphur Springs Water Projects. There will also be a MANDATORY pre-bid site visit held on August 18, 2009 at 10 a.m. starting at the Town Hall in Hot Sulphur Springs.
We encourage local contractors to work together to form strong bid teams. Experience with water treatment plants, lift stations, and water tanks is critical.
Subcontractors may also take the opportunity to meet and partner with other companies by attending the pre-bid site visit.
